NOTE
09/09/2022: The internet has changed A
LOT over
the 20 years since I made this page. When I posted this, there wasn't
much content, and it wasn't easy to find, since search engines were
still being
developed. Over time, I've
deleted links to this and that, because the links have died.
I'm
leaving this page up just mostly for the memories.
If
you've
visited this page before, please reload. It may
have
changed
since your last visit.
One
of the most wonderful things about the current state of personal
computers,
and the internet, is the power that it gives almost anyone. Right now
(October
6, 2001) anyone with a reasonably-
priced computer, and a little
imagination,
can create art that can then be shown to everyone in the world, via the
internet. Shareware, freeware, and even "obsolete" versions of various
applications
can be used to create all kinds of movies, animation,
sounds,
images, and literature. For a somewhat old fogie, like me, this is just
amazing. Those of you who are currently in high school, or a
younger
will
probably take this for granted, and, I've read cultural comment about
how
the young people of today are less entertained by non-interactive
diversions.
So,
throughout the internet can be found many examples what can be done on
a pc in one's home. Some of these are very
entertaining.
Others,
are perhaps not quite as much fun. But, they are
*all* examples of
people
trying to express themselves to a wide audience. I think it's amazing.
All of which brings me to this page.
I
made the movies mostly for my entertainment, but
then realized
that
if I found them funny, then others would, too. Then, when I got some
positive
feedback (that's right, the point at which
"don't encourage him and
he'll
stop" would work has long passed.) I started thinking of ideas
specifically
for an audience of strangers. And so it went. So, relax, and
enjoy:

6: How
the next production came
about:
Since
I have a webcam, which is sometimes live, I've gotten some requests for
nude programming. One should be reminded at this point, that
one
should be careful what they ask for...they might get it.
Also, it
is true
that sometimes one can get what one asks for and STILL not be
happy.
So, imagine, if you will, that you have a webcam, and that you've
gotten
requests for, shall we say, "strong content." Imagine that you are
bored,
and just once, you say "Ahh, what the heck, why not? I'm not ashamed of
my body." Then, imagine, if you will, that you are ME. Oooh. That's a
pretty
horrifying thought. Maybe you shouldn't imagine that. Well, I've put
a
little film together. Fourth

note that all my web
content is suitable for most family viewing, aside
from the infrequent use of strong language. Therefore, you cannot
always
judge a movie--no matter how short it is--by its title. Those of you
who
downloaded, or
refused to download, this last film, merely by judging
the
title, are in for a surprise.
I've
remastered this movie August 12, 2003! I've reformatted to 352x240 and
used better compression for the AVIs. I've recompressed the flv video
file,
also. I've also added music to the soundtrack
(licensed--that means I'm
using it legally. It also means that YOU can't use it, unless YOU
license
it.) The file is bigger than it used to be, though. The link
above
now brings the flv video file.
I've
resized this movie November 26, 2019! It's reformatted to
640x480
and transcoded to mp4. Everything else is the same as before, so I've
left the publication date the same as the last one...2003.
What can I
say...I'm nostalgic over this. Here's the link to
watch it.

23: NOSFERICKUBIS--THE
FULL
MOVIE!!
11/23/2007---THIS
IS IT! It's the entire movie--all the sections edited together into one
film. It's about 60 minutes long, and it's done with a public-domain
version
of Nosferatu. It has nothing serious about it. It's slightly different
from the seperate links above. All dialogue has been reformatted to be
consistant throughout with different fonts and
colors representing various
characters. That's the innovative
RICKUBILOGUE
technique.

(538.0mb, mp4). Note
6/26/2021 I've removed this video from archive.org. I have great
respect for the original film, "Nosferatu". After
much
thought,
I've decided that leaving my treatment of that film on a highly-visible
platform like archive.org doesn't show that kind of respect. I will,
for now, keep the links on this page, and the clips on my
server--because
Nosferickubis is a reflection of a particular time in my
life. Considering that it had only been viewed about 890
times
during the 14 years it was on that platform, it's not a great loss
anyway.
From
time to time, I might encounter a cool application that I
might

The software that I used to make these heads is no longer available, although you can get a newer version of the software here. (no longer available)
Please
note that the other images and clips that I used on this and other
pages
showing the virtual heads were made with other software after
I'd made the bio files. To get these results, I used several different
software
applications. A rough estimate includes:
1
photo
manipulation/editor; 2 different digital video editors; an .mpg
compressor;
an .avi compressor; a flv video compressor; a .gif animator; a windows
display capture; a morph animator; and 2 audio editors. I did this
so
the images would be easier to see. However, they weren't all
that
easy to make, though not *really* difficult, either.
Besides
making these things, I've
done a number nature videos. If
you're
curious about nature then go on to see my videos about it at: Rick's
Nature Films.
And I've gathered
together some Slow
Motion
videos and put them on Rick's
Slow-Motion
Video Page.
The films are free
for people to view, but they belong to me. Please
keep that in
mind.
While
the some of my video projects might seem a
bit unprofesional, the music with them is certainly NOT unprofessional.
It's music that I've purchased licenses for. If you
want to
license music composed by professional artists...royalty-free, then
